Hoco season, handled. Our homecoming dresses are made for a night that starts with photos on the front lawn and ends on the dance floor, cut in our sequin lace, fluid satin and beaded embellishment that catches every camera flash. Most of the edit is mini, from corset styles that cinch at the waist to ruched bodycon shapes and fringed halterneck minis that move when you do, with a few floor-length gowns for dances that call for more.
Pick your length by dress code and start with the invite or your school's website. Most hoco dances are semi-formal, and a mini is the classic choice there. An embellished or corset mini looks dressed up without trying too hard. If your dance is at a hotel ballroom or billed as formal, a gown fits the brief. Still not sure? Ask what the seniors wore last year.
Check your school's rules. Many schools publish a dance dress code, and some check outfits at the door. A common rule is the fingertip test: stand with your arms by your sides, and your hem and any slit should reach your fingertips. Others ask for a covered midriff, no back cut below the navel and nothing see-through. Wearing a two-piece, like our sequin lace bralette top and mini skirt? Some schools need the top to overlap the waistband, so check before you buy. Our product pages list the shoulder-to-hem length, so you can measure against your school's limit.
