Embellished Fishtail Maxi Dress in Gold

I just opened my first Oh Polly parcel today ... and I can tell you it won't be my last! Ordering from a company for the first time is always a bit of a gamble but I was thrilled with the quality and the fit. This dress is super stretchy and as I am between sizes I sized up as did not want to have to re-order and stretchy fabric can be unforgiving. I feel either size would have been fine as so much give but I am happy with the one I went with. There is not much structure to the dress so those with bigger busts would definitely need to add some support and the dress more or less moulds itself to your shape and is very comfortable. Due to the excellent quality of the embellishment it is a heavy dress but still worth the extra weight to take on holidays as I plan. It photographs very much like that iconic Marilyn Monroe dress worn to sing "Happy Birthday Mr President" in 1962 although it is much more gold rather than nude and super sparkly. My photos sadly do not do it justice as it really is fabulous (and apologies for the mess - our only full length mirror is in a hall we are renovating!) I am 5'10 and it was a perfect length for me. This dress is absolutely stunning! The quality is exceptional, and it feels luxurious to wear. It's the perfect choice for New Year's Eve, but also versatile enough for weddings or other elegant occasions. I couldn't be happier with it!
